US does not insist on Govt- LTTE talks

The United States does not advocate that the Government of Sri Lanka negotiate with the LTTE, a group designated by the US since 1997 as a foreign terrorist organization, said the US Embassy in a press statement issued on Tuesday on the liberation of Kilinochchi.
