Fallow land recultivation bears fruit

The fallow paddy field recultivation drive launched by the Government is yielding remarkable results, Agriculture Development and Agrarian Services Ministry's Fallow Paddy Fields Recultivation Project Director, Nandasena Perera said.

He was addressing farmers, representatives of village agro clubs, agro officials and residents at a Wap Magul ceremony at Asgangula paddy field, Eheliyagoda, recently. He said seed paddy, fertiliser, weedicide and pesticides will be provided free.
