Vietnam pledges to stand by SL
Vietnam will
always stand by Sri Lanka in the
international arena, stated
Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang
during his bilateral discussion with
President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the
Presidential Secretariat yesterday.
He said Vietnam will always extend
its assistance to Sri Lanka in the
UN Assemblies, South-South
corporation, Colombo Plan and any
other international event.

CID to investigate murder of
four member family
The
investigation into the killing of
four people of one family in
Panahaduwa, Udawalawa has been
handed over to the Criminal
Investigation Division, police media
spokesman SSP Maxi Proctor said. On
the advice of the Inspector General
of Police, CID officials have been
deployed to investigate into the
