CID to investigate murder of four member family
The investigation into the killing of four people
of one family in Panahaduwa, Udawalawa has been handed over to the
Criminal Investigation Division, police media spokesman SSP Maxi
Proctor said. On the advice of the Inspector General of Police, CID
officials have been deployed to investigate into the incident
yesterday.

Police seize fake notes and machines
Police have taken into custody four suspects
allegedly involved in the printing of fake currency notes together
with the machines used in the operation. The arrests were made on
Monday (10) at the Thambuttegama town by a mobile patrol of the
Thambuttegama police following information that the fake notes were
being transported in a three-wheeler.

Maldivian Defence Minister admires SLN inshore patrol craft
capabilities
Tholhath Ibrahim, Minister of Defence and
National Security of the Maldives visited SLN’s Rangalle at the Port
of Colombo on October 14, to view SLN IPC capabilities. He was
received by Director General Naval Operations, Rear Admiral Jayantha
Perera and Commander, Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral D S Udawatte.
