Science College Mount Lavinia, came up with a
stupendous performance to score a stunning 36 points (three goals,
three tries) to 19 (one goal, three penalties and a drop goal) win
over Royal College Colombo in their Singer Under 20 league match

Panadura Royal get 251
St. Johns College Panadura were 40 for 1 at the
end of day one in their inter-school Big Match for the “Battle of
the Greens” against Royal College, Panadura. Johnian skipper Lahiru
Sanjaya won the toss and invited Royalist skipper Thanuka Dananjaya
to take the first lease and Royal piled up 251 runs with Damindu
Ashan making the top score of 84 with eleven hits to the ropes and
one over and Damindu Ashan had two good partnerships of 87 runs for
the second wicket with Duleep Gayan who made 37 runs and again 48
runs partnership for the fourth wicket with Yasitha Chamod who
scored an elegant 59 runs. Then there was another partnership of 59
for the fifth wicket between Yasitha Chamod and Asitha Lakshan.
