First innings win for Thurstan

Thurstan College has to be satisfied with a first innings win of 108 runs against Dharmapala Vidyalaya Pannipitiya in their inter-school under 19 cricket match played at Thurstan ground.

Resuming at 45 for no loss Pathanians were dismissed for a paltry 130 runs with Imesh Liyanage makign the highest score of 47 runs while Rajitha Perera had a Superb spell of 7 for 35 for Thurstanites. Ashen Jayashanka too contributed 33 runs.

Following on at the close visitors were reeling at 109 for 7 with Senal Wijesinghe claiming 3 for 17.
