Another betrayal by Sarath Fonseka

* Writes to Channel 4 which backed the LTTE

* Sends sketch of building where he is detained

General Sarath Fonseka is attempting to internationalize domestic issues and has displayed his disloyalty to the country by secretly dispatching a letter to the United Kingdom based Channel 4 television station which has been supporting the LTTE terrorists for over a long period, Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said.

New Mannar bridge vested with public

The Mannar bridge and causeway connecting the Mannar Island with the mainland constructed at a cost of Rs 2,640 million of Japanese assistance was vested with the public by President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday.

President inaugurates work on phase II

President Mahinda Rajapaksa inaugurated the construction work on phase II of Norochcholai coal power plant yesterday. Sri Lankan and Chinese Engineers, Ministers, higher officials of the Chinese Embassy and the Power and Energy Ministry were present.
