School buildings opened in North

Northern Province Governor G.A. Chandrasiri opened several school
buildings and an education administration building in the north built at
a cost of over Rs. 38 million under the Special Development Grant and
Education Enhancement Development Project.
It is funded with World Bank aid government funds, Northern Province
Governor's office sources said yesterday.
Zonal Education Office, Wadamarachchi that was functioning at the
Puloli Methodist Mission earlier was built at a cost of Rs. 6.5 million.
The land for the building was purchased by donations from education
officers, principals, teachers, staff, office employees and parents they
said.
In addition buildings at Madduvil Chandrapuram Vidyalaya,
Chavakachcheri Hindu Vidyalaya, Sri Naratha Vidyalaya and Thevaraja
Vidyalaya, Karaveddi, Kottuwaththai American Mission School, and a
number of other school buildings were declared open recently, they said. |
