President Mahinda Rajapaksa visited the Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya, Sri Vishnu Kovil and Helena Wijewardena Balika Vidyalaya, in Kelaniya yesterday morning. A special Pooja was held at the Sri Vishnu Kovil where the President planted a Na sapling. President Rajapaksa also worshiped the Kelaniya Bodhiya and the Viharaya where he was blessed by Ven. Dr. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangarakkhita and the Maha Sangha. Here the President being welcomed by students of Helena Wijewardena Balika Vidyalaya. Minister Mervyn Silva was also present. Courts Martial begin March 16 and 17

Commander-in-Chief President Mahinda Rajapaksa has appointed two Courts Martial to inquire into charges against former Army Commander and Chief of Defence Staff Sarath Fonseka.
