A new batch of 180 children of Officers and other ranks of the Armed Forces and Police entered the world of learning when they were admitted to the Defence Services College in Slave Island yesterday morning. Police thwart unruly JVP, UNP supporters’ attempt to enter SC

Police yesterday drove away an unruly mob of UNP and JVP supporters who attempted to forcibly enter the Supreme Courts Complex in Hulftsdorp. According to reports the mob who were shouting slogans against the Courts was led by UNP Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya.
