A bomb had been
exploded in the Olcot Mawatha, Pettah in Colombo around 12.15 p.m
today, 30 August. The Director of the National hospital Colombo, Dr
Hector Weerasinha said that 45 people suffered injuries were

Don’t ruin students’ future
President appeals to teachers:
President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday appealed to
teachers to refrain from being political pawns and hold their
innocent students as ransom in the process. President Rajapaksa made
this appeal when he addressed a rally in Tangalle, following the
inauguration of the Tangalle-Beliatta Integrated Water Supply
Scheme.
