Fisherman stranded in Thailand to return soon

Five marooned Sri Lankan fishermen who landed in Thailand after being caught by a gale will be flown to Sri Lanka soon.

They were freed by the Thai authorities following negotiations by the Foreign Ministry and the Sri Lanka Embassy in Thailand.

The cost of the passage amounts to Rs. 237,740, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Ministry sources said.
