Aussies stunned by Bangladesh humiliation

WHILE Bangladesh celebrated their greatest sporting success, Australians rubbed their eyes in disbelief as they awoke Sunday to news that their world champion cricket team had succumbed to the Asian minnows in Cardiff.

In a modern day David-Goliath episode, cricket’s greatest upset was witnessed in the game’s traditional home in England, when defying all odds and the games renowned pundits, international cricket’s wooden spoonists Bangladesh flattened World Champions Australia in a one-day encounter. The victory brought the country of 150 million to virtual standstill, with celebrations spreading to every nook and corner of the cricket crazy nation.
