Principals' committee for school admissions The Ministry of Education has developed a system to continuously seek
principals' views on school admissions.In addition to discussing issues
concerning the ongoing 2005 admissions, new suggestions for a future
policy on school admissions will also be sought, the Education Ministry
said yesterday. Govt allocates Rs. 2.5 b for highways The Government will allocate Rs. 2.5 billion for the maintenance of
highways in 2005. Road Development Authority Chairman M.M.C. Ferdinando
told the Daily News that the Cabinet has approved the allocation which is
three-fold the amount allocated for highways maintenance this year. Port Policy would be introduced soon - Mangala Samaraweera A Port Policy to develop all commercial ports around the country would
be introduced soon to further develop the port sector in Sri Lanka, said
Minister of Ports, Aviation, Information and Media and Deputy Minister of
