Doctors suspend strike : NH resumes normal services

The Government Medical Officers Association last evening decided to suspend their trade union action following an assurance given by the Secretary of the Interior Ministry that all suspects involved in the assault on the National Hospital doctor will be arrested and brought to book.

Peace process on track : Talks in June

Norway said on Thursday that peace talks between the Sri Lankan government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) to end nearly two decades of ethnic war were on track to start in Thailand in June.

Two more PSD men in custody

The CID yesterday arrested two officers attached to the Presidential Security Division, one in connection with the attack on the last UNP General election rally held at Maradana where Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe presided over and another on the attack on the journalists at the Kollupitiya junction.
