Dravid glad to be back where it all began

Rahul Dravid has his own very personal reasons for wanting to play in the 2,000th Test match, between England and India, which starts at Lord’s here on Thursday. It was at the ‘home of cricket’ where the 38-year-old India batting star scored 95 on his Test debut back in 1996.

President to lay foundation stone for sports complex

President Mahinda Rajapaksa will lay the foundation stone of the proposed sports complex at Kilinochchi at 2.00 pm today. The full option complex is to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 325 million in order to widen the opportunities for the youth in the area to take part in sports.

Lankans to compete in Disabled Volleyball World Cup from today

Sri Lanka will participate in the Disabled Volleyball World Cup which is to be held in Ohnom Penh, Cambodia from today till 30th of this month. World Organization Volleyball For Disabled (WOVD) has organized the tournament while Cambodia hosts the event for the third time.
