Three victories for Royal 'C' team
Royal College, Colombo's 'C' team registered three victories in the
Under-15 Schools Cricket Tournament matches played recently.
They beat Gothatuwa MV by 10 wickets, Ediriweera Sarathchandra MV by
63 runs on the Parabola system and Rajasinghe MV 362 runs.
Their best performance was against Rajasinghe MV in which Royal 'C'
piled up 416 for 7 in 50 overs helped by four half centuries by Kavinda
Rajapaksa (81 not out), Masith Karunaratne (77), Kulith Samarakoon (62)
and Ronuka Jayawardena (50). When Rajasinghe MV batted Chathura
Kappagoda ripped through their batting line up by capturing 6 wickets
for 8 to bundle them out for a paltry 54 runs.

Gothatuwa MV: 29 all out in 17 overs (Shenal Anuk 3 for 16, Charuka
Hathurusinghe 5 for 4, Dinidu Ratnayake 2 for 8).
Royal 'C': 33 for 0 in 5.2 overs (Rashendra Rajaratne 15 n.o, Hasmath
Bakir 17 n.o).
Royal won by 10 wickets.
