Troops begin rescue mission
58 division enters Puthumathalan no
fire zone and begins rescueing trapped civilians, national
TV reported. Sources from the Front told the Daily News the
world's biggest rescue mission began early today by
capruring the Tiger's last earth bund West of No fire Zone.
The military is reported to have rescued 30,000 trapped

LTTE suicide bomb attack targets Tamil civilians - NFZ
An LTTE suicide bomber has attacked thousands of Tamil
civilians who are now trying to seek refuge with Sri Lankan
Army, this morning. Battlefield sources said at least 17
civilians including women and children have been killed in

President orders halt to second phase of Baseline road project
