India rout Bhutan 9-0 to bag regional title
India clinched the AFC under 14 girls’ South and
Central Regional Title when they trounced Bhutan by 9-0 to top the
points table with 15 points yesterday at the Colombo Football League
. Iran overcame Tajikistan by 7-1 at CR and FC grounds on the same
day and secured second place with 12 points.

Chanaka guides Vidyalians to easy win
Moratu Vidyalaya registered a sensational
121-run victory over St Johns College, Panadura in their
inter-school under 19 cricket match played at Moratuwa and the game
ending at 3 pm on day two. Batting first Vidyalians made 172 runs
with Thilan Kavishka making the top score of 72 runs and Lahiru
Sanjaya claimed 4 for 58. In reply Johnians collapsed for 75 runs
with Harsha Devinda 5 for 23 and brought his tally to 74 wickets and
Chanaka Roshan too claimed 3 for 8.

Kinross six-mile sea swim on March 31
The 48th Annual Open Six Mile Sea Swim,
conducted by Kinross Swimming and Life Saving Club will be held on
Sunday 31st, March 2013. This most popular long distance swimming
competition held annually attracts almost all the long distance
swimmers in Sri Lanka and undoubtedly is the longest distance
swimming competition in South East Asia.
