India rout Bhutan 9-0 to bag regional title

India clinched the AFC under 14 girls’ South and Central Regional Title when they trounced Bhutan by 9-0 to top the points table with 15 points yesterday at the Colombo Football League . Iran overcame Tajikistan by 7-1 at CR and FC grounds on the same day and secured second place with 12 points.

Chanaka guides Vidyalians to easy win

Moratu Vidyalaya registered a sensational 121-run victory over St Johns College, Panadura in their inter-school under 19 cricket match played at Moratuwa and the game ending at 3 pm on day two. Batting first Vidyalians made 172 runs with Thilan Kavishka making the top score of 72 runs and Lahiru Sanjaya claimed 4 for 58. In reply Johnians collapsed for 75 runs with Harsha Devinda 5 for 23 and brought his tally to 74 wickets and Chanaka Roshan too claimed 3 for 8.

The 48th Annual Open Six Mile Sea Swim, conducted by Kinross Swimming and Life Saving Club will be held on Sunday 31st, March 2013.
