Chanaka guides Vidyalians to easy win

Moratu Vidyalaya registered a sensational 121-run victory over St Johns College, Panadura in their inter-school under 19 cricket match played at Moratuwa and the game ending at 3 pm on day two. Batting first Vidyalians made 172 runs with Thilan Kavishka making the top score of 72 runs and Lahiru Sanjaya claimed 4 for 58. In reply Johnians collapsed for 75 runs with Harsha Devinda 5 for 23 and brought his tally to 74 wickets and Chanaka Roshan too claimed 3 for 8.

In their second essay Vidyalaians were bowled out for a paltry 60 runs with Lahiru Sanjaya bagging 6 for 32 with a match bag of 10 for 81 and seasons tally for 83 scalps.

Chasing a target of 158 runs for an outright win visitors were all out for a paltry 36 runs with Chanaka Roshan taking 5 for 21.
