500,000 Euros for franchise:

Siddalepa opens spa in Frankfurt

Siddalepa Ayurveda resorts would open one of their franchise Ayurveda Spa’s in Frankfurt on March 1. This is the first time that Sri Lankan franchise has been sold to Europe. Managing Director of the Group, Asoka Hettigoda told Daily News Business at the ITB exhibition, that they were proud to carry a Sri Lankan brand name overseas. The spa would be housed in a 120 room luxury hotel in Dresden Frankfurt and the hotel has invested nearly 500,000 Euros to obtain this franchise and also to prepare seven therapy rooms and remunerate its staff.

Triad celebrates 20 years today with vision to make a difference

Triad (Pvt) Ltd, celebrates 20 years in advertising today. Twenty years ago, the communication landscape in this country was dominated by multinationals. The largest accounts were those of the multinational brands. Although on par in quality, most local brands were ill-focused on brand building. Sri Lanka Tourism presented Travel awards to three operators who promoted Sri Lanka aggressively and for the first time honoured a journalist for giving the best publicity to Sri Lanka as a destination. The best tour operator award was presented to Go Vacation. The second was won by TUI Group (Aitken Spence Travels) while the third place went to Thomas Cook (John Keells Holdings). The Best Journalist award was presented to Philipp Laage of Dautschen Presse Agentur (DPA).
