Nishantha Pradeep Kumara of Ambagamuwa, Ginigathena in the Nuwara
Eliya District is an outstanding athlete who brought international fame
to his motherland.
Nishantha Pradeep Kumara who represented Sri Lanka in the Asian
Masters’ Athletic Meet held in Taipe Taiwan in 2012 won a silver medal
for the event of 400 metre race and a bronze medal for the event of
4x400 relay race held under 35 years age group.
Not only that Nishantha Pradeep Kumara was able to receive similar
victories at the Asian Masters’ Athletic meet held in Malaysia in 2010.
Being an old boy of the Ginigathena Central College in the Hatton
educational zone in the Nuwara Eliya district and a graduate of both the
Sri Jayawardenapura and Kelaniya Universities, Nishantha Pradeep Kumara
carries out his duty as a Samurdhi Manager of the Ambagamuwa DS division
in the Nuwara Eliya district. |
