Cabinet Spokesman, Export Development and International Trade Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris said yesterday the Government deplores the attempt to meddle in the internal affairs of the country by UN Secretary General Ban K. Moon at a time pro-LTTE groups and lobbies in the West are working against the country.

President to participate in rallies from next week

A series of rallies led by President Mahinda Rajapaksa will take place islandwide from next week. Two rallies each will be held with the President’s participation in Colombo and Kurunegala, with one rally in all other districts.

DHL Express announced the opening of its new Airside Gateway Facility inside the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake - terminal 3 yesterday. DHL has invested Rs 43 million on the new Airside Gateway Facility.
