Premium on terrorism reduced

The NITF decided to reduce the premium rate on terrorism by 75 percent with effect from April 1 as there is no terrorism in the country. This will effect on motor, fire, burglary, miscellaneous and any class of general insurance.

This will effect on any general insurance cover obtained from any insurance company with effect from April 1.

Public lecture

Public lecture by Prof. H. Sriyananda on 'Stress caused by our Educational System' will be held today at 5.00 pm at the SLAAS Auditorium, Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo 7.


PPA Annual Dinner

The Past Prefects Association of Zahira College Colombo organised PPA Annual Dinner and Teachers Recognition Ceremony will be held for the third consecutive time tomorrow at Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel, Colombo.

The main objectives are to recognize teachers who have performed their duties well and to motivate students.


Mass Com Day

Induvara Asna 2010, Devi Balika Vidyalaya Mass Communication Day will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Vimala de Silva Auditorium. The chief guest will be veteran film director and journalist Jayantha Chandrasiri. The theme of the event is radio and teledrama, then and now.

Medals and certificates will be awarded to winners of inter-school level.


AGM

The Annual General Meeting and the Get-together of the All Ceylon Central Colleges Old Boys Union which represents all the 54 Central Colleges initiated by former Education Minister Dr. C.W.W. Kannangara in 1944 will be held on March 14, 2010 at 9 am at the Shalika Hall, Park Road, Narahenpita, Colombo 05.

Old Boys of this union are requested to participate. New members will also be enrolled that day.


Mahinda Club AGM

The Annual General Meeting of Mahinda Club, of Mahinda College, Galle will be held on March 14 at the Organization of Professionals Associations auditorium, Stanley Wijesundara Mawatha, Colombo 7, from 9.30 a.m. Secretaries invite all members for the AGM.
