Bakery owners on common platform

A census of all bakery owners will be taken by the All Ceylon Bakery Owners' Association to form a common platform to promote their welfare and business interests.

Association President NK Jayawardene said concurrent to the census a membership drive would also be launched to encourage all bakery owners to join the Association to ensure dividends issued by the State and the private sector are shared equally. The Government and several large scale private companies have agreed to provide a host of benefits to bakery owners.

The census which will begin from the Western Province will be extended to other regions later to cover the whole island.

Since these dividends will be distributed through the association it would be advantageous for all bakery owners to seek membership of the association.

For more information bakery owners could contact the association over 011-2891891 or apply in writing to P.O. Box No. 10 Homagama.
