The UPFA is quite capable of achieving the two thirds majority at a future General election or Presidential election, Agriculture and Agrarian Services Development Minister and SLFP General Secretary Maithreepala Sirisena told a press conference in Colombo yesterday.

Killinochchi, Mullaitivu get mobile coverage

Dialog Telekom, has commissioned its services in Killinochchi, Mullaitivu and several other areas in the Northern Province. This follows the rapid progress being made in the region in terms of infrastructure development and the establishment of citizen services during a period of less than 90 days after liberating the region.

‘Our air quality monitoring stations old, dilapidated’

The air quality monitoring stations used by Central Environment Authority (CEA) are decades old and are in a dilapidated condition. The two Air Monitoring Stations, the air pollution meter based in Colombo Fort to monitor local air quality and the pollution meter based in Anuradhapura.

Dialog Telekom to invest $ 10 m on Northern towers

Dialog Telekom will invest USD 5-10 million this year to construct 60 new towers in identified areas in the liberated regions in the Northern Province, said CEO Dialog Telekom Dr Hans Wijesuriya.
