Lankan contingent scheduled to arrive in London today
Sri Lanka contingent for the 2012 Olympic Games
is scheduled to arrive in London on Tuesday (24) evening. The
overall captain of the Sri Lanka contingent, who has been in Poland
on the final leg of his training cum competition series, is
scheduled to fly from Warsaw to join the team in London.

BoC joins hands with AASL
Bank of Ceylon will provide the financial
support to Sri Lanka Athletics for a period of five years. The
sponsorship package will be Rs 115 million. The official signing of
the sponsorship agreement took place yesterday at Olympic House
Auditorium between Sri Lanka Athletic Association Secretary Rear
Admiral Shemal Fernando and Bank of Ceylon Commercial Acting General
Manager T Muthugala.

Navy continue to head Dialog league rugby points table
Navy Sports Club, continued to head the points
table of the Dialog ‘A'division league rugby tournament despite
their 20 – 22 defeat in the hands of Havelocks Sports Club on Sunday
. The Sailors who have played one match more than the Park Club have
obtained 35.50 points in seven outings while the unbeaten Havelocks
lie in second place with 34.50 points in six matches. Defending
champions Kandy Sports Club, who too have won all their six matches
are in third position with 33. 50 points.
