Thurstan win by 55 runs

A fine half century by Charana Nanayakkara helped Thurstan College,Colombo to beat Bandaranayake College, Gampaha by 55 runs in the under 15 division one tournament match played at Gampaha recently.

Thurstan college piled up a massive 247 runs for nine wickets in 50 overs. Charana Nanayakkara(67) was the highest scorer for the side along with Eranga Jayasinghe(46 not out).A.Senanayake(two for 42) and D.Kodithuwakku(two for 43) were the most impressive among the bowlers. In reply, Bandaranayake College were only able to score 192 runs in 48.4 overs.A.Senanayake(40) and M.Wanniarachchi was most important among the batsmen.Thushan Wijewickrama bagged three wickets for 45 runs .Ayesh Wickramaratne captured two for 25 while Dhanuja Weerasinghe took two for 27.
