NDB, DBS Group Singapore in strategic alliance

To help capital market fund raising:

NDB Group marked a new era in the investment banking in Sri Lanka by signing an MoU with Singapore’s DBS Bank in a bid to form a strategic alliance. The newly formed strategic alliance will strengthen the NDB Investment Bank and NDB Bank Group and DBS Group will work on equity and fixed income issuances, syndications and project financing, mergers and acquisitions.

Construction industry growth to top Rs 400 billion

CCI wants more for local consultants:

The anticipated growth in the construction industry over the next four years will exceed more than Rs 400 billion per annum. This will reflect how the economic growth over 10 percent and the per capita income of US$ 4000, can be achieved if the projects are completed on time, Chamber of Construction Industry Sri Lanka President Surath Wickramasinghe told Daily News Business.

The Finance tops trading

The bourse continued its downtrend yesterday where broad levels of selloff were displayed on stocks. ASI decreased by 35.69 points (-0.52%YoY) to close at 6,792.88 where as sensitive MPI dipped by 30.89 points (-0.50%) to end at 6,138.33.
