A foreigner who attempted to smuggle Euros worth over Rs 10 million was nabbed at the Bandaranaike International Airport yesterday. According to Customs officials at the airport, the security officials have found more than 60 Euro notes concealed in the private parts of his body. Schoolboys turned robbers nabbed

Suspects aged between eight and 13:

Four schoolboys were taken into custody by the Ingiriya Police Crime Investigation Unit for the alleged theft of stationery, food items, groceries, textiles, mobile phones, a stock of ginger and other items from houses and shops.

Sea cucumber seized by navy

A Sri Lanka naval patrol craft attached to the Northern Naval Command intercepted a suspicious fishing craft off Kovilam in the Northern seas on September 21, 2011 and apprehended four persons who had attempted to smuggle dried sea cucumber.
