National Chamber business delegation to Vietnam

With the setting up of the Vietnam Embassy in Sri Lanka, many opportunities to increase bilateral trade between Sri Lanka and Vietnam have been highlighted. At the recently held discussion at the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, Vietnam Ambassador Ton Sinh Thanh said that there are many opportunities in the areas of exports, imports, investments and tourism for both countries to develop businesses.

The Ambassador was also of the view that if direct flights are introduced between Sri Lanka and Vietnam, two-way tourism could become one of the major economic activities between the two countries among other things. The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) is planning to send a 15 member business delegation to Vietnam. The programme will consist of meetings with Hochiminh business community, the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and meetings with the Industries and Trade Ministry.
