Chamber seminar on construction

With the construction industry being the key driver of development and in the context of Sri Lankan government’s endeavour to maintain an average growth level of 8% per annum, the Chamber of Construction Industry will host a seminar on September 27, commencing at 9.00 a.m. at the Palm Lounge of the Galle Face Hotel.

Chamber has invited Sri Lanka Standards Institute Director General Dr. L.N. Senaweera to give a presentation on Policy and Sri Lankan Standards Framework, methodology of standards ensuring required quality standards of the products and deliveries. Prof. Anura Nanayakkara from the Moratuwa University will speak on Sri Lankan standards for cement and aggregate, while Prof. Priyan Dias will make a presentation on specifications for steel and concrete.
