Mulls plants in Bangladesh, Indonesia:
Ace Power to venture overseas
Ace Power, a subsidiary of Aitken Spence is
looking at setting up power plants in Bangladesh and Indonesia. “We
are looking at setting up a 150 megawatt power plant in Bangladesh,”
Assistant Vice President (Operations) Aitken Spence Power, Roshan De
Seram said. The company has forwarded proposals to Indonesia and
Bangladesh and they are expecting a positive response.

Sri Lanka’s leasing industry has to target new
assets and move on to industrial plant and machinery over a period
of time, International Trainer and Consultant Vinod Kothari said.
Speaking at the inaugural leasing symposium of Sri Lanka held in
Colombo on Friday, he said a growing economy needs investment in

Hemas Group posts Rs 4.97 b revenue in 1 H
Hemas Holdings PLC, Group achieved a revenue
growth of 19 percent to close at Rs 4.97 billion after their first
quarter of the financial year ending March 31 2012. “Our
Pharmaceuticals Distribution and Hospitals businesses remain the
main contributors to the growth in revenue recording a year on year
growth of 14 percent and 26 percent respectively, while our FMCG
business achieved a revenue growth of 9 percent for the period under
review,” Chief Executive Officer Husein Esufally said.
