School children visiting the plant |
The first visit to the plant was offered to the Dedigamuwa Kanishta
Vidyalaya - being a school situated in Ranala, a village in close
proximity to the plant. Over fifty schoolchildren were part of the
factory tour where they got the opportunity to not only witness the
manufacturing process, but also learn of the history of this iconic
local company and its ever popular brands and products which have been
manufactured in the plant for years.
The Company has officially opened its doors to other schools who
would like to come explore this pioneering soft drinks facility in Sri
Lanka, and will soon extend the invitation to its brand new
state-of-the-art ice cream plant. |
