TFC targets Rs one billion profitm
The country’s real estate market has a positive
impact due to the reduction in interest rates and The Finance
Company performance has seen a marked growth last year. The Finance
Company (TFC) has around 3,000 real estates islandwide and it sells
300 blocks per month at present. The real estate market recovered
from a stagnant situation soon after the war and the industry is now
booming, The Finance Director and Chief Executive Officer Kamal
Yatawara said.

Deccan Aviation Lanka buys aircraft
Boost for domestic air travel, tourism:
Deccan Aviation Lanka will induct a new eight
seater aircraft which is scheduled to commence commercial operations
in April this year. Deccan Aviation Lanka CEO and Director Denham
Schokman told Daily News Business that the new aircraft is
manufactured by Gippsaero Australia and is a leader in its class of
aircraft with the ability to land at all airports in the country
including unpaved runways and beach strips.

Fresh feasibility for Sapugaskanda
A fresh feasibility study will be conducted on
the Sapugaskanda oil refinery expansion and modernization project
shortly. The cost of the expansion and modernization project was
originally estimated to be US $ 1,500 million and with the
completion of the feasibility study the cost has escalated to US $
2,000 million.
