Registration of pharmaceuticals:
SLCPS, Drugs Authority to hold seminar
A seminar for local pharmaceutical agents on the registration process
of drugs with the Drugs Authority, has been organized by the Sri Lanka
Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry (SLCPI), with the assistance of the
Drugs Authority.
The seminar is scheduled to he held on January 13, at the Taj Samudra
Hotel from 9 a.m. onwards.
The SLCPI hopes that its membership will benefit immensely from this
exercise, which they hope will ensure quick registration of their
products in future. The SLCPI says that ultimate goal is to make certain
that patients are not deprived of their right of receiving proper
treatment.
Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena, who will be the chief guest at
the seminar, has given his blessings for this timely project. Health
Secretary Ravindra Ruberu, SLCPI President Ananda Samarasinghe, Health
Director General Dr Ajith Mendis, State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC)
Chairman S D Jayaratne and Medical Technology and Supplies Director Dr B
V S H Beneragama will attend the occasion.
