Positive trading

Yesterday's trading session at the Colombo bourse was positive, with the ASPI appreciating 24.89 points to close at 6,916.85 while the liquid MPI depreciated 4.93 points to close at 7,281.95.

The Banking and Financial sector gained specific investor interest, specially counters such as Sampath.

Both retail and institutional interest was evident during the day.

Price losers outnumbered the price gainers with 109 counters declining in price and only 99 counters appreciating in price.

Foreign investor selling overran foreign buying to record a net foreign outflow of Rs 84.4 million.
