Gay and Defar take top IAAF awards
World champion sprinter Tyson Gay of the United
States and Ethiopian middle-distance starlet Meseret Defar were on
Sunday named by athletics' world governing body, the IAAF, as the
top athletes of 2007.

Koertzen removed from Test series
The International Cricket Council yesterday
removed South African umpire Rudi Koertzen from the forthcoming Test
series between Sri Lanka and England and have named Aleem Dar as the
