Namal and Deepika steal the limelight

Nationalised Services Open TT Tournament:

Lake House Sports Club powered their way to four titles at the Nationalised Services Open Table Tennis Tournament worked off at the S. Thomas' College, Indoor Stadium, Mount Lavinia, last week. The tournament was organised by the Nationalised Services Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka.

Seasoned campaigners Namal Gunasekara and Deepika Rodrigo of Lake House stole the limelight by winning two titles each which enabled Lake House to clinch four titles. Danesh Gunatilake of Water Board was the other top performer of the event by clinching a double.

He emerged champion in Veteran men's singles. He partnered by his team mate R. Attanayake beat the NSB duo of Prabath Indrajith and Waruna Gunawardane to grab the men's doubles crown.

Gunasekara collected her double by taking Veteran's women's singles and women's doubles titles while Deepika won the major events-open women's singles and Mixed Doubles event.

Prabath Indrajith of National Savings Bank (NSB) emerged open men's singles champion.

E. Selvamohan (SLRC) ended up winner in Novices Men's singles event.
