ADB promoting entrepreneurs

To invest in renewable energy products:

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is promoting entrepreneurs to invest in renewable energy projects in Sri Lanka said ADB Country Director Rita O. Sullivan. She said that the country could benefit by encouraging renewable energy projects and the ADB would even look at investing around 25% for a good project proposal.

The award winning shoe manufacturer in Sri Lanka DSI Group will go for an overseas expansion by opening show rooms in India next year as a global brand. DSI Group Managing Director Kulatunga Rajapakse said at a press briefing held at the DSI Group auditorium on Monday to mark its 50th anniversary.

The Government of Qatar is keen to invest in the travel and tourism sector in Sri Lanka, Qatar Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabar Al Thani said addressing the Sri Lankan top businessmen at the Hilton Colombo yesterday.
