increase in income during the last
two and a half years at a time when
most world media institutions were
facing a financial crisis.

‘ANCL three months’ revenue tops

Parliamentarian Manusha Nanayakkara
yesterday stated in Parliament that
government media institutions,
including ANCL, had increased their
income during the recent past. A
document tabled in Parliament during
his speech at the Committee Stage
Debate on the Appropriation Bill
noted that a total of Rs 656.993
million income was recorded by ANCL
during the last three months as
advertising revenue.

Traffic plan for Colombo Night
Race
Roads in Colombo
Fort, used as the track for the
Colombo Night Race and several
junctions to enter Colombo city,
will be closed on December 16 and
17, from 6 pm to 6 am, on each day,
the Police Public Relations Unit has
announced. Police Media Spokesman SP
Ajith Rohana said that no roads will
be closed during the day time on
December 16 and 17. The temporary
traffic plan will be used to
minimize traffic congestion during
the race hours.
