Ceylon Biscuits Ltd (CBL), whose flagship Munchee brand swept the board at the Presidential Export Awards on Tuesday night, will shortly re-enter a fresh South Asian market when it establishes a fresh manufacturing facility in Bangladesh, whose population numbers 140 million.

Fitch rates DVB’s Sub Debt ‘A+(lka)’

Fitch Ratings Lanka has assigned DFCC Vardhana Bank Limited’s (DVB) proposed subordinated debentures of up to Rs 1.0 billion a national rating of ‘A+(lka)’. The agency has simultaneously affirmed DVB’s national long-term rating at ‘AA-(lka)’ with a stable outlook.

The prize giving of the Nokia Avrudu Seasonal Rewards promotion was held yesterday in Colombo. The grand prize of a brand new Viva Elite car was won by a Chief Clerk of the Sri Lanka Army Sinha Regiment in Kankasanthure Ajith Perera.
