The government has planned to establish a
Migration Intelligence Unit and a National Stolen and Lost Travel
Document Passport database with “on-line real-time access” to
Interpol’s global database to enhance Sri Lanka’s border security,
strengthening its counter terrorism capacity.

Man with ganja nabbed
A man with packets of ganja hidden in his
underwear was nabbed by Kurunegala Police at the Magistrate Court
yesterday. The police found several packets of ganja packed in brown
paper hidden in his underwear.
