Broadcast Sri Lanka 2008 to focus on digitv

As the country's first initiative for transferring analogue to digital television, Sri Lanka will organise Broadcast Sri Lanka 2008 Conference. Chairman of the Technical Committee of Broadcast Sri Lanka Conference D.B. Nihalsinghe said USA will make the congressionally mandated switch to all digital transmission of television broadcast in February, 2009.

SAP to open office in Colombo

SAP will open an office in Sri Lanka soon. "We are planning on opening a System Application and Products office in Sri Lanka, mainly because many of our customers from Sri Lanka. We have got good support from the Sri Lankan market and it's a pleasure to invest in Sri Lanka. There's a market growth of 35 per cent in the Sri Lankan SAP market," President/CEO of SAP (Indian Subcontinent) Ranjan Das said.
