Male construction fair in July
Maldives Construction Fair 2008 rolls out for the third consecutive
year from July 7 to 9 at the Dharubaaruge Exhibition Hall in Male.
Designed to provide a common arena for the business community to
exhibit their services and products, the MCF 2008 will also help to
develop and create awareness on how the Maldivian construction industry
works. Over 50 companies from Sri Lanka will participate at the event
while companies from India, UAE, Singapore, New Zealand and Malaysia too
will participate.
This fair is not only a showcase of the latest products and services
in the industry, it also offers a common platform for networking and
information sharing on construction issues and challenges," said Husnie
Rauf, Manager - Exhibitions (MECS).
Organised by the Maldives Exhibition and Conference Services (Pvt)
Limited (MECS) for the Maldives Association of Construction Industry (MACI),
this year's Fair will wow audiences with the latest products and
services in the market. The Construction Fair this year is aptly timed,
as this industry is presently the fastest growing in the Maldives and is
the third largest contributor to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Numerous public sector projects are in the pipeline including 2,870
housing units, 218 projects spanning a 2-year project lifespan and many
others.
