RANAVIRU DAY
Security Forces personnel have dedicated their lives to protect the country. Many of them have made the Supreme Sacrifice, others have been disabled. The entire Nation is always with the Security Forces and we are grateful to them for defending the Motherland. As the Ranaviru Day, which falls today, concludes a month of ceremonies expressing gratitude to fallen and serving war heroes, these soldiers who had been in action against the enemy in past battles share a light moment and a wish for lasting peace.

Govt’s presentation impresses European Parliament:

The Government scored a huge victory at Tuesday’s public hearing of the European Parliament relating to Sri Lanka in Brussels when the Lankan delegation successfully countered all allegations levelled against it about the misuse of tsunami funds and human rights violations.
