Siemens begins direct operations in Lanka

Siemens, a worldwide business giant in electrical and electronics engineering commenced its direct operations in Sri Lanka yesterday with the setting up of a liaison office in Colombo "Siemens Lanka". The German based company also pledged to work closely with the government, local industry and business partners to make Sri Lanka a vibrant, progressive and modern nation while improving infrastructure and spurring economic growth.
