Former Colombo district UNP MP Lilantha Perera wanted by Police in connection with the alleged possession and sale of aluminium sheets valued over Rs. 2 million imported from India to be distributed free to poor families, surrendered yesterday through his lawyers before the Colombo Crime Division Director Senior SP Sarath Lugoda.

 Rauff Hakeem cheated me in love

An attractive mother of two ,the daughter of a former Member of Parliament appearing on the national television network Rupavahini last night, alleged that she had been cheated in a love affair with Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader Rauff Hakeem and said that the only thing left for her to do was to commit suicide.
