Kandy YCC in 10-run win

A good all-round performance by Azar Central College Schoolboy Mohamed Manazir who scored (3 sixes, 4 fours) and also took 4 for 53 guided Kandy Youths Cricket Club to an exciting 10-run win over Kandy Clouds Cricket Club in their Sri Lanka cricket's Division Three Cricket Tournament match played at Galagedera on Monday.

Also batting well for Kandy Youths was Antonian Schoolboy Kavinda Pullukuttiarachchi who made 66 with 5 fours and 3 sexes.

Kandy Clouds chasing a victory target of 262 were well placed at one time with N. Jayasuriya 52 (8 fours) and D. Hewawasam 58 (9 fours) propping up the innings earlier but later batsmen failed to consolidate and were dismissed for 251 in the final over.

Kandy Youths CC 261 all out in 49.2 overs (Sumedha Dissanayake 34, Faiz Ahamed 34, Kavinda Pullukuttiarachchi 66, Mohamed Manazir 43, M. Nushan 14, M. Anaz 12, H. Abeysekera 3 for 46, D. Hewawasam 3 for 29).

Kandy Clouds CC 251 all out in 49.2 overs (B. Dissanayake 12, D. Hewawasam 58, N. Jaysuriya 52, Mohamed Manazir 4 for 53, Kavinda Pullukuttiarachchi 3 for 58).
