Hits equal fourth fastest century in Tests :
Australian opener David Warner slammed the equal
fourth fastest century in Test cricket on a horror opening day for
India in the third Test in Perth Friday. Warner reached his hundred
off 69 balls and did it in style, clouting debutant paceman Vinay
Kumar for his third six of the innings.

Finalists found in Boxing Nationals
The finalists were found in the men’s and
women’s categories at the 85th National Boxing Championships
conducted by the ABA at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium yesterday.
The finals will be conducted today from 3.00 pm onwards with the
Minister of Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage as the Chief Guest and
Yositha Rajapakse as the Guest of Honour.

Sri Lanka out to make amends
Sri Lanka will be out to make amends when they
confront South Africa in the second one day international at East
London on Saturday. Sri Lankans who suffered an embarassing 258 runs
defeat at the hands of the South Africans in the first one dayer at
Paarl will make some changes to the team in the second one dayer in
a bid to bounce back and stay in contention for the one day series.
